Welcome sign (24 × 8 in)

About this project

A classic porch sign: bold V-carved letters, a V-groove border and rounded corners. Cut from a 3/4 in pine or cedar board. Stain or paint the letters before the final sanding for crisp edges.

How to make it

  1. Open in GCarve: it opens in your browser (or download the .tlp for the desktop app).
  2. Make it yours: pick your machine, match the bits to the ones you have and set your board thickness. GCarve fits the toolpaths and suggests feeds for your machine.
  3. Simulate the cut in 3D and look it over.
  4. Export G-code for your controller and cut it.
